Ana Arana is a Madrid-based multidisciplinary designer. She explores new ways of inhabiting space through product design and architecture, making importantant emphasis in illustration and drawing as graphic expression to communicate her ideas. Ana´s change from Architecture into design was made to see a different scale in the field of space, the scale of hands that would her allow to experiment with form, material and color in combination with human necessities.
Born in Bilbao (Spain), she originally studied Architecture in the European University of Madrid and the UdK in Berlin before graduating in December 2014 from Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Madrid, with a Master´s degree in experimental design directed by Katharina Mischer & Thomas Traxler.
Some months after her graduation, Ana´s work has been already shown in Ventura Lambrate (Milan) during the Salone del Mobile and design venues including Museum of design Amsterdam and Museo Lope de Vega (Madrid).
Ana Arana has been selected for ICFF studio in New York during the upcoming Design Week.
